Company: Fred is a lifelong resident of central Arkansas with over 15 years of business and legal experience. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and a law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, Fred returned home to practice law at Wright, Lindsey & Jennings in Little Rock and then as in-house legal counsel for ALLTEL. While at ALLTEL, he shifted his focus from the legal to the operational side of the company. Several years later, Fred became a partner in a small carwash company headquartered in North Little Rock, initially serving as chief operating officer and later chief executive officer. In less than 3 years, that company franchised its concept and established 22 newly built locations in 4 states. In 2006, Fred and his partners sold their carwash holdings to an investment group led by a retired Wal-mart executive. At that point, Fred decided to put his experience of selling his own company to work for other small business owners when they are ready to exit their businesses and in 2007, Southern Business Brokerage (now Cornerstone Business Advisors) was launched. Fred maintains an active law license in Arkansas and is a Certified Business Intermediary. With his varied background in law, small business ownership and Fortune 250 companies, Fred brings a unique set of experiences and skills to the selling/acquisition process.
